Sales Tax
South Carolina residents pay 7% sales tax (capped at $500 per South Carolina's maximum tax law on qualifying items). Out-of-state buyers are not charged South Carolina sales tax. If you hold a South Carolina SCATE card (Sales Tax Exemption certificate for agricultural use), qualifying farm-use equipment, trailers, sheds, and buildings can be purchased tax-exempt — just bring your SCATE card with you or mention it when you order.
